You may watch engineers in action, but you’re never really trusted to lead or own an engineering project yourself.
We give our interns the chance to help solve messy problems from week one.
You’ll work alongside engineers, engage with the production floor, and build the skills you need to accelerate your career as an engineer.
What to Expect
PJ Wallbank Springs gives students the opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow in a supportive environment where they are trusted with meaningful work. Our goal is to help students build confidence in their skills and knowledge to quickly advance their careers as engineers and leaders. Our bar is high, but you’ll be supported.
Throughout the experience, students can expect:
1:1 coaching to help identify, develop, and deploy your unique skills so you can contribute quickly and drive outcomes.
Ownership of real engineering challenges allowing you to think critically, work with others, and make a real impact beyond yourself.
Learning sessions and reflection exercises because the best engineers are curious and have a strong desire to apply what they learn.
Earn Responsibility Early
Most internships provide busy work that don’t teach you the engineering skills you’ll need. You usually walk away still wondering how to connect classroom learnings to your future career.
That’s not us. Here, your work will matter, you’ll grow your skills quickly, and you’ll accelerate the next step in your career.
That’s why we call ours an Intern Academy. It’s not your standard internship. It’s designed to grow future leaders. You’ll be part of a culture that values curiosity, reflection, and ownership. And you’ll be trusted with responsibility to own and solve real problems that have a direct impact on our business.
Along the way, you’re also expected to be hungry to make an impact, humble enough to keep learning, and smart in how you apply engineering skills and work with others. We hold a high standard, and not everyone is up for the challenge.
But for the right high schooler, college student, or entry-level engineer, we have opportunity you won’t find anywhere else.

Exposure to Engineering
One advantage of a small company is ownership.
You’re not just given a specific assignment and expected to hand it off to another department. You’ll work on solving problems that likely involve multiple functions of engineering and the business.
This level of ownership forces you to figure out what needs to happen and go make it happen. We’ve found it’s the best way to learn and make an impact.
Because of this, there’s opportunity to explore different areas:
- Product launch and prototype support
- Equipment design improvement
- CAD support for product design
- Analysis of process parameters
- Warehouse optimization
- Component assembly and testing
